Gallery Late - Opening of "Sheltering Ballad" Sabīne Zoltnere

"Sheltering Ballad by Sabīne Zoltnere began as a photobook, composed of still lives, self-portraits, and landscapes. It forms a visual journal of grief following the loss of Sabine's father. Memory softens into feeling, and absence becomes a quiet presence.
The exhibition grows out of the book, which remains its central thread. It extends the book’s intimate atmosphere into physical space. Besides classic photo prints, the installation consists of several rows of photobooks mounted on the wall in a flexible rhythm, accompanied by a large wallpaper print. The space invites reflection rather than resolution - an encounter with grief, memory, and time. "Sheltering Ballad" is a sanctuary of longing, desperation, sadness, and love."
