The exhibition “Obsession: 50 Years of Italian Ceramics” offers a compelling overview of the development of Italian contemporary ceramics, bringing together works by fifty artists from the postwar period to the present day. Alongside key pioneers, the exhibition features leading contemporary voices and emerging talents, revealing ceramics as a dynamic and multifaceted medium of artistic expression. The exhibition is organized by the Latvian Centre for Contemporary Ceramics in collaboration with the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza (Museo Internazionale delle Ceramiche in Faenza) and the Decorative Arts and Design Museum in Riga. It is part of the off-season program of the Latvian Ceramics Biennale, which aims to foster international dialogue and introduce Latvian audiences to significant developments in the world of contemporary ceramics.
